Sexual safety: There really isn't anything called "safe sex" except with a mutually monogamous partner with a known negative and STD tested sexual history. Herpes active lesions are very capable to transmit the infection to others. The herpes virus has been known to shed from the site after healing for up to 21 days. Condoms are useless if the lesions are on the scrotum and not the penis. Use sexual safety!
