Check lumps out: Many "lumps" in the neck and behind the ears are lymph nodes that can increase in size during/after an infection. It's best to have "lumps" checked by a doctor. Chronic coughs longer than 4-6 weeks can have many causes including asthma, post nasal drip from allergies or sinus infection and even ge acid reflux. All chronic coughs should be evaluated for specific cause and directed treatment.
