What are your thoughts? could we ever reach a day where cancer is no longer a fatal disease?

May be: Cancer is not one disease. Some types of cancers are curable, e.g. Most leukemias in children, some lymphomas, early colon and breast cancers. We can hope that medical science will progress enough to be able to cure all cancers.
