A member asked:

Which type of cancers are fatal and the patient can survive for more than a few months?

A doctor has provided 1 answer

Do I understand?: Any cancer that is not effectively treated with surgery, radiation, and/or chemotherapy (old-fashioned or new biotech) will cause your death. That being the case, the course of an untreatable cancer is often measured in years. In fact, i know no cancer any more in which death is certain within "a few months" of diagnosis.
