Breast Ca has: 'pre' cancer warnings in lcis/dcis, non invasive proliferations in ducts and lobules, but genetic risk, and familial risk likely related to dna damage that is not repaired, then sequential mutations leading to overgrowth/lump, capacity to invade and metastasize. Self exam; others exam, mammo pot 40 or 50 detect lumps.
