Depends: The area of pins and needles you experience may indicate a peripheral (small) nerve, or a problem in your neck. See your physician soon. If you have problems moving your eyes downward, see a neurologist.. If your symptoms progress, or include difficulty swallowing or arm numbness, go to the emergency room.
