IQ lower: There isn't a great deal of information on permanent brain damage due to long term cannabis use, but studies show that beginning use in childhood to teen years tends to lower overall iq and mental performance. Mental slowing and 'foggy' thinking are generally side effects of use than will subside with an end to use.
