Is it actually healthy for a person with glaucoma to use viagra (sildenafil) or similar substance?

Yes: Generally this should cause no problem but if you notice a change in vision or a yellow tint to the vision, please stop the medication and see your eye doctor.

FDA Studies: In my opinion i would prefer my patients with glaucoma not to use these type of medications. The fda studies show some issues and i believe more studies are being performed. The damage of glaucoma is irreversible and while it can be managed any visual loss form increased pressures are permanent so my attitude is to take the path with the least risk!
