Would anything happen to you if you went several months without a bowel movement?

Should have BM daily: Bile acids from the gall bladder are excreted unchanged in the stool if transit time is less than 24 hours. If bile acids remain in the body more than 24 hours, they break down into very potent carcinogens. Chronic constipation greatly increases the risk of colorectal cancer. I recommend more fiber (psyllium husks) and magnesium. Goal is at least one easy bowel movement every day.
