Bipolar disorder: Hallucinations in bipolar disorder can occur in the depressed phase, the manic phase, or during a mixed state. They do not however occur during periods of normal mood intervals.

Acronym "BPD": Acronyms can be confusing, as people might use "bpd" to indicate either borderline personality disorder or bipolar disorder. I'll answer about borderline pd -- which can indeed periodically experience psychotic symptoms like hearing voices, paranoia, and delusions. Hallucinations can arise in the context of intense pain such as abandonment depression -- but aren't usually sustained over time.
