Irregular heartbeat: You describe what could be a potentially serious problem with your irregular heart beat. If you can, call a cardiologist for an appointment to be evaluated. The next time this happens, go to an er to get a tracing of the rhythm, to identify and to start treating it. You will also need some blood work to make sure you are not hyperthyroid. I would get medical help as soon as possible.

Check out: There are a few possibilities that can be quite common in your age group. If you are feeling fast heart beating and it makes you short of breath or dizzy you should get checked out asap and get an ekg to rule out an arrhythmia. You may have something called svt which is a generally treatable condition. About caffeine until you get evaluated.
