I'm allergic to antihistamines. i recently broke out into hives and i don't know why. what can i buy over-the-counter as i do not have insurance?

Not sure: What kind of problems do you have with antihistamines? Some adverse reactions to antihistamines may not be an allergy. I you get hives with antnihitamines, it is unlikely that any otc medication will help.

Unlikely: If you get drowsiness or dry mouth from an antihistamine, these are not considered an allergic reaction. Have you tried Allegra (fexofenadine) or zyrtec yet?
