Usually not: If it is ordinary enlargement, then the erectile potential is usually normal. Rarely the nervous/vascular supply can be affected and dysfunction may occur. This is more common in diabetics. The principal effect of an enlarged prostate is urinary frequency and urgency and a lessened ability to completely empty the bladder on urination.
