Yes: Your vdrl has nothing to do with hiv. It is a syphilis test that is often false positive. You may contract HIV sometime in the future, or you may have it now but not yet seroconverted. If you're worried about the unprotected sex, and it was recent, ssk whether a pcr is in order. Love safely and wisely, and best wishes to you.
