Diet?: I'm serious because people forget about diet when they are taking cholesterol meds. Healthy diet + exercise are a good start but some people still overproduce cholesterol.. Red yeast rice contains a natural statin but in a tiny dose. Garlic lowers cholesterol a little but there's the odor. For higher risk people like after a heart attack, there is no proven alternative to a statin. Ask your doc.
