Listen to your body!: You really need to listen to your body's urges for defecation, and not try to stifle them. (holding on until you reach a toilet is a different matter.) over-controlling the urge to defecate can lead to dry, hard stools and constipation -- including all that comes with it (hemorrhoids, fissures, pain, rectal bleeding, etc). Please allow your bowel its needs.
