Yes: You should wait to see if you miss your period before testing for pregnancy. Even if you conceived yesterday, it takes, on average, 10 days for implantation and few days after that for enough HCG to get a positive test even by blood test.

Unclear question: Mild bleeding/spotting is not uncommon in early pregnancy. Should, you, God forbid, get frank bleeding like a period or abdominal pain, it would be prudent to see your doctor. Wish you good health and a health baby!
