Hair Loss: Minoxidil can cause hair loss in some patients. What you need is a scalp biopsy to determine the type of hair loss you have as in male pattern hair loss which is genetic or telogen effluvium(te) which is hair loss caused by increased shedding. Male pattern hair loss is treated with Propecia (finasteride) which is an oral prescription medication.Te is treated with B12 injections?
