Some, not all : Some sexually transmitted diseases, such as syphilis, hepatitis & hiv, can be diagnosed by blood tests. Others such as gonorrhea & chlamydia require genital swabs. No: Most routine blood work do not check for stds unless specifically requested by your doctor. Hiv, hepatitis and RPR can be checked with blood draw rest require appropriate swab or exam.
