Yes: Then wash it. The shower will work. Wash before you pop it. A needle can be cleaned with water & alcohol. Use a bandage which will not get glued to it. As it heals you can soon go without any bandage. Avoid bacitracin, neosporin triple-antibiotic as these are useless & may be harmful. You can lubricate it with vaseline or aquaphor.
