A member asked:

I got a sharp pain in right side of chest while eating a turkey sub it lasted for less than a minute. what could it be?

A doctor has provided 1 answer

Dysphagia: Sounds like some esophageal spasm - muscular contractions of the esophagus. Can be caused if not chewing food well enough, or with foods like the bread of a sub. Take smaller bites, don't rush eating, and drink plenty of fluids in between bites of your food. Slow down and enjoy the meal, instead of it causing you distress!
