Talk to a dermatolog: I would recommend an appointment with a dermatologist to find out which products are currently available to lessen some of the old scarring and which products might be used to cover some of the old scars up. Also, look at them daily and congratulate yourself on overcoming this essentially addictive behavior and as a self affirmation of how far you have come. I congratulate you.

Acupuncture.: Agree w dr. Jacobson. Here is an additional option. Acupuncture will not take aware your scars. However, every scar is a nidus of inflammation. Scar deactivation with or without electrical stimulation & scar injection (not w steroids) can decrease redness & bulk of scar. It can also reduce underlying adhesions/ inflammation. It is a real positive that you are no longer cutting. Take care.
