Any age with consent: People of any age may have blood tests taken. As far as children and teenagers being seen independently and having blood tests taken, there can be 'implied consent, ' such as when a parent schedules an appointment or brings the child/teen in for the visit. Some practices maintain a written permission from parents to treat minor illnesses or do tests without their explicit permission.
