Yes: It can take a long time to feel good. Depends a lot on the specific injury. Has the fracture healed by x-ray? If not, you should be evaluated again to be sure it has actually healed.

Yes: Pain is one of the cardinal signs of a bone injury. Swelling is another. Some people who have sick nerves (e.g. Diabetic neuropathy ) have no pain in a broken foot. Pain persists particularly on weight bearing up to the point where it heals.

Yes, but less: Soreness is normal, but the pain should decrease week by week. It make take a few months for your foot to completely heal and several more months before the swelling decreases. Best of luck.
