Prevention: Cant really avoid blepharitis per se. But treatment options include warm compresses, scrubbing the eyelashes with baby shampoo in the shower, and fish/flaxseed oil supplements.

Cleopatra makeup: Blepharitis probably affects half of the earth's population. It is a blockage of the oil in the oil glands of the eyelashes. Poor oil flow contributes to dry eye. The most common cause is eye makeup applied to the edge of the eyelid, occluding the openings of the glands. Warm compresses and cleaning the edges of the eyelids with cotton swab and baby shampoo provide the best control.
