Trust oncologist: 30 yr old stage iii b needs all that is needed to prevent recurrence , both drugs have oxaplatin , folfox has 5 fu & Folic Acid , xelox has Capecitabine , all comparative studies showed almost equal results, please rely and trust your oncologist advise , as therapies are changing so fast for good , will encourage if you want to take a second opinion good luck

Both have similar be: They both are equally effective and produce similar benefit.. So either regimen can be used. The main difference is that xelox uses an oral drug(xeloda) instead of IV 5-fu+folinic acid both given by IV injections which are more cumbersome than a drug taken by mouth yet it works equally well..
