I need a straight answer. what is carotid cavernous fistula?

Abnormal connection: This is an abnormal connection within the skull between the internal carotid artery, a branch supplying the brain, and the surrounding veins. It can cause pain, eye bulging and visual loss if not treated. This should be evaluated by a neurosurgeon.
