Maybe: At age 16, there can be blood disorders like von willebrand's which can be associated with heavy constant bleeding. You may want to be tested for this. There could also be a lesion in your uterus that's responsible. Lastly, it could be a hormonal imbalance. If you've been bleeding that much you could also be anemic. I would see a doctor to discuss these things, and check thyroid too. Best!
