No. : This is the most common finger 2 b effected & the locking happens @ the a-1 pulley & the treatment is surgical, so make an appointment 2 c a hand surgeon.

Injection: 70% of patients can be cured with cortisone injection into the sheath. My usual routine is to inject then a month later if any symptoms remain inject again. If symptoms persist/recur then the odds of a third injection curing drops below 5% so i recommend surgery then. I haven't found splinting helpful for adults. Hope this helps:).
