Yes: Irregular periods have many causes. You are doing the right thing by checking a pregnancy test especially if you are sexually active. Other causes besides pregnancy include hormonal imbalances, endocrinologic dysfunction, pcos, infection, and autoimmune diseases. Check with your doctor to find out why your periods are irregular.
