Bacteria in bladder: Germs enter bladder via urethra, attatch to bladder wall & multiply. Cause burning urethral or bladder pain with urination. Cause urinary frequency & urgency. Give urine a bad odor. Can cause pelvic &/or kidney/back pain at lower rib level. Infection can be detected by urine test. Infection can reach kidneys but does go elsewhere in abdomen or into reproductive organs.
