SCARY!!! SEE DR!: Ok, i don't want to freak you out -- but black stool is not normal (unless you're taking iron/peptobismol). Black stool = digested blood. This can be from bleeding anywhere from your lips to your mid-colon. At 41, have your stool checked for blood in your doctor's office, and if positive, see a surgeon/gi doc for upper and lower endoscopy (take telescopes & look in gut). See dr within a week!
