A member asked:

Will a gynecologist/doctor absolutely have to do a pelvic exam to prescribe birth control?

A doctor has provided 1 answer

Not necessarily: If you have normal, regular periods, and no symptoms of pain, discomfort, then i personally don't feel that a pelvic exam is absolutely necessary. Certainly others may have different opinions.
