i'm just wondering, if you throw up green liquid, is that bile?

Yes: Bile is the green substance secreted by the liver, stored in the gallbladder and released at the time of a fatty meal. If you vomit it up, it means that your GI tract was disrupted and instead of the bile going down, it decided to go up.
