Bad Idea.: Acute cholecystitis is inflammation of the gallbladder due to persistent obstruction, typically by stones. This may improve without surgery, but it is unpredictable. More likely, it can get worse if left untreated, which will take a simple-to-treat disease and turn it into a situation where the risks of surgery are greater. There is no benefit to "sit" on this disease--please seek treatment asap.

None: I am not aware of home treatment of true painful cholecystitis. Sometimes antibiotics are indicated. If you also have gallstones, then surgery may be indicated. Be sure to consult with your doctor to see what treatments may be indicated for your specific condition. There is a medication that may dissolve gallstones over time, but it is not for cholecystitis.
