Pediatric asthma : In a recent survey in the journal pediatrics, 21% of people with pediatric asthma go into remission as they get older. An asthma attack happens when your airways become swollen and inflamed, leading to persistent coughing, wheezing, difficulty breathing, and sometimes chest tightness and pain. If you suspect asthma, make sure you have a plan with your doctor for recognizing and treating attacks.

Lung function : Although asthma may undergo remission (no symptoms) around age 7 for many children, it often lingers on even though the sufferers may not be aware of it especially when people often adapt their lifestyle to their disease. I would recommend that you get a lung function test done to be sure that you do not have asthma. If you have an attack, you will be the first one to notice it.
