My right knee is swollen between the joint but it doesn't hurt or anything. i can feel it tighter when i stretch it out. what could be wrong?

Hard to say: Good thing is that it doesnt hurt. Was there any injury involved? How long has it been like this? There are different reasons for swelling, but lot of them involve pain: knee injury, arthritis (degenerative changes). This is one that is hard to say without seeing your knee and examining it.
