What causes shoulder and neck pain and pins and needle?

Pain: Generalized muscle pain in shoulder & neck region could be from muscle strain due to poor posture, injury or even stress etc. Pins & needles sensation is worrisome for pinched nerve (possible disk herniation or ruptured disk) or peripheral neuropathy due to diabetes or vitamin deficiency among other causes. That's why it's so important to go see your family doctor for thorough evaluation.
