Equivocal findings: There was a small (37 patients) study suggesting that st john's wort (sjw) might elevate tsh. http://tinyurl.com/lvjyayl in this study, 4/37 patients with elevated TSH had taken sjw in the 3-6 month period before TSH was measured, but only 2/37 of those with normal TSH had taken sjw in the same time period. Some question the data analysis of this small difference. http://tinyurl.com/mw5zhcu.
