What's effective for helping to prevent cervicitis?

Condoms: Many causes of cervicitis are sexually transmitted and condoms are quite effective at prevention. Other causes, such as a yeast infection after taking antibiotics, or a yeast infection for no obvious reason are not preventable, but very treatable. Atrophic vaginitis occurs commonly after menopause and is amenable to estrogen therapy.

Condoms: Cervicitis is most commonly caused by gonorrhea or chlamydia; both are sexually transmitted infections. Only condoms of abstinence will reduce your risk of contracting one of these infections.
