Side effects?: If you are concerned about side effects, some that are associated with birth control pills are: breast tenderness, nausea, break-through bleeding, blood clots in the veins of the legs.

Oral contraceptives?: Oc are hormone treatments in small doses that prevent the ovaries from shedding an egg. They are remarkably safe. Common side effects are many irregular bleeding, bloating, nausea, weight gain tender breasts. Serious side effects are heart attack, stroke, deep vein thrombosis, high blood pressure, depression, serious rashes, gall bladder or pancreas disease. These are rare. Discuss with your dr.
