Dont have sex: Chlamydia is a sexually transmitted disease. Condoms help but don't 100% prevent transmission of std. Knowing your partner well, and remaining mutually monogamous (you & partner only sleep with each other) also help. The only proven way is not to have intercourse with anyone who might have chlamydia. Because chlamydia is usually silent, you cannot detect it on your own.
