Possibly: The likelihood of stone passage depends of the size of the stones and their location. Generally, a 5 mm diameter is the "cutoff" for stones with a good chance of passage (at least 70%). If stones are located at the lower part of the kidney, they tend to settle there and may be more difficult to pass as well. It is important to get any evaluation to help in stone prevention with so many stones.

Not that likely: The position and size of the stone is the primary determinant of whether you ultimately be able to pass it. if you have multiple renal stones, you likely would benefit from extracorporeal shockwave treatment. See a urologist
