A member asked:

What can i do if my 8 month old got sun burned on face and legs, what can i use or what should i do?

A doctor has provided 1 answer

Moisturize: Unfortunately, the damage is done - the baby has sustained burns. Make sure to keep well hydrated - offer extra fluids. Slightly cool baths (but not to the point the baby shivers) to help take the heat out of the burn. Air dry after bath or gently pat dry, no rubbing. Finally, liberal application of moisturizing creams/lotions, preferably with aloe added. Avoid further sun exposure until healed.
