Usually not: Most common pens are not mostly ink. They are made of varying things such as solvents, dyes, and water. They are considered relatively safe. If you have headache, shivers, numbness or issues with your nervous system then present to the er and tell them what happened. Otherwise clean the area with soap and water extensively and keep it clean.
