Addison Disease: Is an endocrine disease where adrenal glands do not produce sufficient steroid hormones, leading to abdominal pain, weakness, low blood pressure, fever, muscle weakness, fatigue, mood changes, GI symptoms, & cravings for salt. Cause can be poor development of adrenal glands, impaired steroid production, or destruction of adrenal glands such as by infection or autoimmune disease.
