What can cause a minor pain in navel accompanied by nausea? i cannot explain the pain, as i have never had it before.

Anything: A minor pain with nausea could be many things -- also called a "broad differential diagnosis". If it persists, or gets worse, seek out evaluation. Worrisome features: worsening/progressive, more pain, unable to keep down food or fluids, fever, or stopping bowel movements.
