A member asked:

If a person constantly get reinfected with bv what will it do to one's body?

A doctor has provided 1 answer

No harm: There's no damage or long term harm, other than the inconvenience or annoyance at having repeat BV infections. I've treated patients who get a lot of BV infections. Best is to try to isolate 'why' a woman is getting the infection. Typically, it's something in the environment that is making her more susceptible. A great book to read, is elizabeth stewart's "the v book" it goes into detail.
