Possibly: Swollen ankles (both) without a history of injury represent fluid retention. There a re many reasons a person may retain too much fluid ranging from heart conditions, high blood pressure, kidney problems , hormonal issues etc. Liver problems also can cause fluid retention as well. Hepatitis c can damage the liver. See your doctor to see the cause of the fluid retention.
