Follow up: Pelvic lipomatosis is characterized by overgrowth of fat cells in the pelvis surrounding the bladder & rectum. Cause isn't known but it has been linked to obesity.Due to compression of pelvic organs patients may experience urinary symptoms, constipation, ribbon like stools & lower extremity edema.A conservative approach, symptomatic treatment & follow-up, is indicated in cases with minor symptoms.
